A 15 year old girl is in critical condition and a 46 year old man has been charged over an incident that occurred at Bunbury Beach last week.
Before you go off half-cocked about the audacity of this author for talking ill of SeaBiscuit, but before you get our knickers in a twist le's get one thing clear - this is the type of sea biscuit one sits on when one is being towed behind a boat.
There's a few other definitions for Sea Biscuit too ( I have since learned) and well let's just ummm, stick to the story - you don't need to go looking up definitions now!
So what exactly happened and is there something we can learn from this?
The man was driving the boat about 1:15pm and towing two teenagers in Sea Biscuits - those round inflatable things you attach to the back of a boat (obviously) when the incident occurred.
It appears the man has misjudged the distance needed to turn safely, sending both teenagers into a parked and unoccupied boat. The boy was treated for minor injuries but the girl was later flown to Perth with serious injuries.
She remains in a critical condition at Royal Perth Hospital.

Was Alcohol a Factor?
It appears that Alcohol was not a factor and I for one could not be happier to hear that - especially when you consider that Alcohol and drugs attribute to over 17% of boating related incidents and even deaths!
Be safe on the water friends
